DuwataTerms of Use

1. Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you use the Duwata app or the duwata.app website (together, “Duwata”). By using Duwata you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Duwata.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to use Duwata. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account (see Delete your account).
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Duwata to:
- harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone;
- post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent or misleading content, or spam;
- make bookings you don't intend to keep, or submit false venue claims;
- scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or try to break the security of Duwata;
- violate anyone's rights or any law.
We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.
4. Bookings and payments with venues
- We're not the venue. Courts are owned and run by independent venues. Each venue is responsible for its courts, schedules, prices, rules, safety, refunds and cancellations.
- Claimed venues: you can request or book slots in the app. Unless the app clearly says otherwise, you pay the venue directly, and the venue's own policies apply.
- Unclaimed venues: Duwata doesn't take bookings for them. “Book via their page” opens the venue's own page or booking site, and any booking you make there is between you and the venue.
- Prices shown in pesos (₱) are based on information from venues or public sources and may change. Confirm with the venue before you play.
- Duwata doesn't currently charge players a fee for court bookings.
5. Venue listings
Some listings are compiled from publicly available information and are marked Unclaimed. Owners can claim, correct, or ask us to remove a listing. Our Venue listings policy is part of these terms.
6. Your content
You own the posts, messages, photos and videos you share (“your content”). You give Duwata a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display and share your content only as needed to run and improve Duwata. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already re-shared it in chats or we must keep it by law. Only post content you have the right to share. You can report content or users to support@duwata.app.
7. Our intellectual property
Duwata's name, logo, app, website and original content belong to us. You may not use them without our permission, except as allowed by law. Venue names and marks belong to their owners.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Duwata at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, create risk for others, or where required by law. We'll tell you why when it's reasonable to do so.
9. Disclaimers
Duwata is provided “as is” and “as available”. Venue details, schedules and prices may be incomplete or out of date. Playing sports carries a risk of injury; play within your ability and follow venue rules. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Philippine law, Duwata isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts, omissions, facilities or services of venues and other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to Duwata is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Duwata in the 12 months before the claim or ₱1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue. Otherwise, disputes will be brought before the proper courts of Cebu City, Philippines, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date, and tell you in the app for material changes. If you keep using Duwata after changes take effect, you accept them.
